Sahari Mediterranean Catering owened by Awad family, Sami and his wife Sohair, was liveing in the Arabian Gulf region for 40 years, where Sami worked as a General Manager for a steel company, and Sohair had an Education Advisor position.
The Awad Family left U.A.E on 2003 to join their family in the USA where they opened Majana Restaurant in Terrace Hotel, which is located in Downtown Cincinnati, OH. This was the first Mediterranean restaurant in the area serving Middle Eastern food for the Arab American Community. This restaurant offered a large menu which included Lunch & Dinner as well as an open Buffet, Catering, and Private Party services.
In a four years period, the Mejana Restaurant received:
Best of Taste Competition Award of Excellence for Entrée 2004.

ClOn July 2007, the Mejana Restaurant closeed down due to the Terrace Hotel undergoing building renovations.
.Mejana Restaurant directed their business to their son who opened Taz Restaurant (www.tazrestaurant.com ) in August 2007. They then started a new catering business (Majana) in September 2007.
In 2009, the Awad family decided to start serving the Washington D.C. and northern Virginia areas. We hope that you will enjoy our great tasting Middle Eastern food and excellent catering service.
